Andrew Sullivan has some surprisingly interesting posts over at the Daily Dish about Mormon underwear
Why is this relevant at all? Well, Mitt Romney is looking to surpass Harry Reid as this nation's highest-ranking Mormon in 2008 (i.e. become president). The general consensus is that he is going to be the right-wing religious candidate in the GOP primary (K-Lo - there, I said it - loves him). The problem? Well, he's not a conventional Christian. In fact, he's a Mormon, which is...kind of a special group. And while the right wing might be glad to join with Mormons against gay marriage, whether all right-wingers will vote for a Mormon is another story entirely.
But apparently this isn't stopping Romney, who recently decided ethics are less important than political dreams and wants a gay marriage ban on the ballot in Massachusetts. I doubt it would pass, but Romney's advocacy is such blatant partisan pandering that it's almost nauseating.
